Plano, Texas - October 24, 2006 CRS Printek was
chosen as the state winner of the 2006 Outstanding Integrated Waste Management System Award given by the Recycling Alliance of Texas. This award acknowledges CRS Printek’s improvement of their TEXANS CARE Toner and Inkjet Recycling Program to include a no landfill policy.

CRS Printek provides for the reuse of toner cartridges from their take back program for over 5000
toner customers and from their buy back program, TEXANS CARE, for over 65 different entities in
the D/FW area such as: computer equipment recyclers, like Intechra and Ecophones; local
municipalities, like the City of Plano and the City of Grand Prairie, local non- profit
organizations, like the Plano PTA’s and the Kaufman County Environmental Co-op, other
corporations and individuals.

“Our goal has always been a no landfill policy,” states Julia Kelly, Vice President of CRS Printek.
“Our first shipment to ARC diverted over 3 tons of waste, resulting in our current total projection
of 18 tons per year to be diverted.” Most companies just landfill their toner and inkjet cartridge
waste. CRS Printek is the single source of compatible toner cartridges in D/FW that can offer a
no landfill policy for their toner and inkjet cartridge waste stream.

The state-wide award was presented at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 30th, as part of the 9th
Annual Texas Recycling and Sustainability Summit held at the Omni Corpus Christi Bayfront
Tower from August 27-30th. The Recycling Alliance of Texas is dedicated to the furtherance of
natural resource conservation and recycling to ensure environmental quality and economic
sustainability in Texas.
